Welcome to ISP.
We are dedicated to serve the research administration needs of the IFAS faculty and staff. We have a knowledgeable work force that is customer centered to provide the assistance that you require.
In our management team you'll find some 53 combined years of research administration expertise. We hope that you value the talented staff that we have assembled and are developing towards their full potential. Among our ranks are two Superior Accomplishment Award winners. We are also proud that our staff holds 17 bachelors, 9 masters, and one doctorate degree. We are fortunate to have 12 of those degrees awarded in Agriculture and Life Science related fields. Currently, one of our staff members is finishing a doctoral dissertation, and while another is enrolled in the Fisheries graduate program. We also have a management team member just selected to participate in UF's first leadership academy.
Our pre award team is focused on assisting faculty/staff with the preparation, submission, negotiation and acceptance of external funding. Specific areas of service include:
- Develop and/or Review Budgets
- Interpret Sponsor Guidelines/Rules/Regulations
- Complete Required Application Forms
- Obtain Authorized Signature
- Copy and Submit Proposals
- Review & Negotiate Agreements
- Draft/Negotiate Subcontracts
- Non financial Close out matters
Our post award team is focused on assisting faculty/staff with all financial aspects of award management that include:
- Establishing a Project (individual account) for Spending Purposes
- Preparing and Submitting Invoices/Financial Reports
- Reviewing and Processing Re-budgeting Requests
- Depositing Receipts and Applying Payments
- Encumbering Funds and Vouchering Invoices under Subcontract Funding
- Managing the Financial Close-out Process
You’ll also find that our support team is there to greet you in person as you visit our office or on the telephone when you call. Behind the scenes they are part of the reason the pre and post award teams are successful by participating in a variety of unique assignments and supporting the continual needs in ISP such as file imaging.
