The RFA guidelines (see page 22) for SF 424 R&R Budget Fed and Non Fed require each application to submit external cost sharing data "summarized on a separate page and placed in the application as a part of the Budget Justification attachment." ISP has created this sample summary and templace for this purpose. USDA guidelines requires that you submit Current and Pending support information; Project summary and Conflict of Interest information. There is no form provided, so ISP has provided this template to assist you in developing your application.

SCRI Budget Template (MS Excel)
This excel file is a tool to assist you in calculating your costs.
TAB 1 - basic budget will assist in calculating your budget costs, and letting us know if you will need to do a budget using the full federal indirect costs;
TAB 2 - shows how the IDC from 19% to 22% total project costs and what this means in calculating your IDC based on total project costs (now 28.2051%);
TAB 3 - Fed IDC rate would be the budget format to use if your calculations accrued a higher rate of indirect costs when using the 28.2051% as compared to the full federal rate (if we are lucky, you won’t have to use this form); and
TAB 4 – cost sharing will help you keep track of your match to see that you are reaching your 1:1 commitment.
What the forms do not do is handle your fringe calculations or tuition. You’ll need to look up and or calculate these costs before entering into the spread sheet. Also, if you have more than one subcontract you need to add additional $25,000 increments back into the base. (I.e. 1-subcontract $25,000; 2-subcontracts add back in $50,000 [$25,000 for each subcontract]).
